Indonesian Ambassador pays maiden visit, assures full support

Ambassador of Indonesia to Thailand, H.E. Ambassador Ahmad Rusdi assured the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) of full support as he welcomed cooperation between AIT and higher education institutions in Indonesia. On his maiden visit to AIT on 5 March 2018, Ambassador Rusdi spoke of the importance of international cooperation and stressed the need for educational cooperation.

QS Rankings by Subjects 2018 ranks AIT in eight subject areas

The Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) has been ranked among the top universities in eight subject areas, according to the QS Top Universities 2018 Rankings by Subject released on 28 February 2018.

Civil and Structural Engineering (ranked between 101-150) and Architecture and Built Environment (101-150) are two subjects where AIT is ranked at the top in Thailand.

Dr Anil Kumar Anal authors book on Bionanotechnology

Dr. Anik Kumar Anal of the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) has published a book on “Bionanotechnology: Principles and Applications.” Released by CRC Press in February 2018, the 189-page book is designed for broad accessibility to  students and researchers of both engineering and natural sciences.

Setting research priorities for cities and climate change: AIT’s Dr Shobhakar Dhakal publishes in Nature

Tracing the history of AIT, and envisioning the future of higher education in the region

Tracing the history of the establishment of the SEATO Graduate School of Engineering and the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), and envisioning the future of the Institute in the context of global and regional changes in the landscape of higher education was the theme of two lectures organized by AIT in February 2018.

Setting things in motion at AIT on 20 February 2018 was the Milton E. Bender Jr. Lecture and Public Discussion, where Dr. Adrian Ray Chamberlain, former President of Colorado State University (CSU), spoke on “SEATO-GSE AND AIT: Beginnings and Visions for the Future.
