Mr. Keerati Chayakulkheeree (ETC017162), a candidate for the degree of Doctor of Engineering in Electric Power System Management, Energy, School of Environment, Resources and Development, will have his final examination on Wednesday,15 December 2004, start from 09:00 a.m. in room ET 222 (Energy FoS Seminar Room).

His dissertation is entitled 'Coordinated Fuzzy Constrained Optimal Power Dispatch for Bilateral Contract, Balancing Electricity and Ancillary Services
Markets'.

AITAA to hold 33rd GBM in Pakistan

The AIT Alumni Association (AITAA) will be holding the 33rd Governing Board Meeting (GBM) in Islamabad, Pakistan from 11 - 14 December 2004 at the Holiday Inn Islamabad.

Hosting this year's event will be the AITAA Pakistan Chapter under the coordination and supervision of Mr Shaukat Khan (AFE 1979), AITAA Pakistan Chapter President assisted by Mr. Abdur Rahman (Envi 1994), Organizing Committee Chairman.

I am pleased to announce, effective as of 1 October 2004, the promotion in academic rank of Dr Teerapat Sanguankotchakorn (right), SAT/Telecommunications Field of Study from Assistant Professor to Associate Professor.

Dr Teerapat has been associated with the Institute since 1998. His major areas of specialization are in digital communications, filter banks design for digital image compression, and speed & image processing.

AITCS to hold annual inter-house athletic meet

The AIT Community School (AITCS) will be holding its
annual inter-house athletic meet on Thursday, 9 December 2004 at the AIT Community School Sports Field from 8:30 am onwards.

The ceremony will be inaugurated by Dr. Hoang Le Tien, ARCA and Dr. Janekrishna Kanatharana, Director, Thailand Science Park while Dr. Chaiyaphol Kaewprakaisaengkul will be declaring the event open.
