Visiting AIT
On June 1, 2004 Mr. Hau Sing Tse, Vice-President, Asia Branch, CIDA accompanied by Mr. David Yasui and Ms. Thongkorn Hiranraks, Counsellor and Development Officer, respectively, of Canadian Embassy visited AIT.

Visiting AIT
On May 17, 2004 a 13 Vietnamese delegation representing People's Committee, Department of Natural Resources and Environment, Department of Finance and Accounting, Department of Industry, Centre for Health Care for Working Force, Department of Construction, Urban Environmental Management Company, Concrete and Construction Material Company, Board of Policy Science and Education Propaganda, Board for Labor, Youth, Women Association and the Intellectual Property Division of the Department of Science and Technology visited AIT. During the visit they met with Prof.

AIT, on June 4, 2004 will celebrate the World Environment Day with various activities that includes a campus environment walk, tree planting, exhibition and panel debate respectively. Participants to the event will be given a free t-shirt.
Doctoral Thesis Dissertation
Mr. H. Kodikara Arachchi (TCC008438), a candidate for the degree of Doctor of Engineering in Telecommunications FoS, School of Advanced Technologies will have his final examination on Monday, 7 June 2004 at 10:00-11:00 a.m. in room TC 210.
His dissertation is entitled 'Improving Rate Distortion Characteristics in Offline Video Coding'
All interested persons are welcome.
