AIT and the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) Southeast Asia Urban Environmental Management Applications (SEA-UEMA) Project recently held a regional conference on 'UEM Applications for Improvement of the Urban Environment.

The United Nations University (UNU) and AIT signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Tuesday, March 9, 2004.

The MoU formalizes the many collaborations between UNU and AIT and focuses on
collaboration on Human Resources Development and the use of new technologies for
academic research applications.

The AIT Alumni Association (AITAA) is now accepting applications for the Doctoral Conference Participation Program (DCPP) 2004. The program - annually conducted by AITAA - sponsors the attendance of Doctoral students in international conference to promote interest in sharing of knowledge and experiences, and to project AIT's image in research.

The United Nations University (UNU) donated the School of Civil Engineering a package of software on Remote Sensing and GIS called ERMAPPER. It was handed over by Dr. Srikantha Herath (above right), Senior Academic Programme Officer at UNU, to Professor Worsak Kanok-Nukulchai, SCE Dean in a simple ceremony on February 23, 2004 at the Civil Engineering Lounge.
