The Student Accommodation Office has a quantity of used bed-sheets, towels, and pillowcases for sale on
Friday, 1 March, 9.00 a.m. - 11.30 a.m. and 1.00 p.m. - 3.00 p.m. The prices will be as follows:

Used bed-sheets (double) 4 sheets/pack = Bt100
Used bed-sheets (single) 5 sheets/pack = Bt100
Used towels (thick) 5 pcs.

Prof. Paul Nugraha, a 1979 Master graduate from AIT's Structural Engineering & Construction Program, has been appointed as Rector of the Petra Christian University (PCU) at Surabaya, Indonesia.

Chamber of Commerce Industry Paris (CCIP)

On 4 February, H.E. Mr. Christian Prettre, French Ambassador to Thailand, presided over the signing of an agreement between AIT and Chamber of Commerce Industry Paris (CCIP), paving the way for further cooperation in promoting a multi-regional approach in higher education and in responding to the specific needs of developing countries in Asia.

Officials from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich (ETH), Switzerland, visited AIT on 3 February, led by Prof. Dr. Olaf Kubler, ETH President. With him were Prof. Bertrand Meyer and Dr. Thomas Eichenberger, Assistants to the ETH President.

AIT and KIST sign dual degree program agreement and hold international cooperation symposium

AIT signed a dual degree program agreement with the Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST) on 31 January. The development of a dual degree program, at the Master and Doctoral levels, was agreed upon by AIT and KIST at the first AIT-KIST International Symposium held in KIST on 6 July 2001.

Organized in conjunction with the agreement signing was the AIT-KIST International Cooperation Symposium on research activities being carried out by the two institutions in the fields of environmental engineering, life sciences, systems engineering and material science.

ITServ now in operation

ITServ now in operation

As part of the on-going Institute-wide reform, the ITServ has been established and is now in operation. The IT Serv, which is under the guidance of the IT Steering Committee, is responsible for all IT infrastructure and services in the Institute.

Rangsit University to use AIT Golf course for physical education purposes

Rangsit University officials led by Mr. Nipon Masavisute, Extra-Curriculum Vice President, and Associate Professor Anan Attacho, Director of the Sports Center, visited AIT on 19 January to thank AIT for providing RU students access to the AIT Golf Course as part of their physical education and sports program.

On 21 January, Prof. Young-Gil Kim, President of Handong Global University (HGU), Korea, led HGU delegates in discussions with high-ranking AIT officials and faculty members concerning future academic and research cooperation programs between the two institutions.
