The Embassy of India in Bangkok and the Indian Council for Cultural Affairs of the Government of India invites all members of the AIT community and their families and friends to a special performance of the Bhangra and Giddha dances, to be performed by an award-winning troupe of twelve dancers from Northern India.

Thammasat University (Rangsit Campus) organized SMEs DAY on Tuesday, 18 January and will end on Thursday, 27 January at the SME Development Institute Bldg. (Gymnasium 1). SMEs Day will promote the concept of 'Niche & Innovation & Network' and promises to be a platform for strengthening small and medium-size Thai enterpreneurs.

1. Dr. Ulrich Glawe, Associate Professor in Engineering and Applied Geology, was educated at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg, Germany, receiving his Ph.D. in 1992 in Engineering Geology and his Dipl-Ing.

Prof. Vilas M. Salokhe, Coordinator of the Agricultural Systems and Engineering field of study, SERD, has been appointed as President of the Asian Association for Agricultural Engineers (AAAE) for the period 2002-2003. He has served as AAAE Secretary-General since its inception.

Didi Sudjata from the Neo Humanistic Foundation will be conducting Yoga classes on Tuesdays, 4:00 - 5:30 p.m. in the Korea House. The six-week course (15 January – 19 February) will cost 600 baht. Participants who cannot commit for the whole course will be charged Baht 120 per session.

AIT signs MOU with German university

AIT signs MOU with German university

AIT President, Prof. Jean-Louis Armand, and Prof. Dr.-Ing. Heinrich Kern, Technische Universitaet Ilmenau (ITU) Rektor, and Prof. Dr. Joachim Weyand, ITU Prorektor fur Bildung, signed a Memorandum of Understanding on 18 December 2001, to establish a three-year cooperation program in scientific fields, especially advanced technologies, through the exchange of students and academic staff as well as through joint distributed education activities.
