AIT Donors' Meeting
16 and 17 October 2000
As a follow-up to the Stakeholders' Forum held in September 1999, the two-day Donors' Meeting, held on 16-17 October, addressed the challenges currently faced by the Institute. The meeting gave the Institute an opportunity to acknowledge the support of its donors and to discuss with them the current status of AIT and its future course.

New Academic Program
After completing their EMBA course preparation work in Hanoi, the 22 enrolees of the EMBA Program at AITCV joined the course, 'Financial Management in an International Firm', being conducted at AIT from 8-22 October.

Swedish Support to AIT
Scholarships valued at SEK 12 million (THB 52,000,000) were presented by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida) to AIT, as part of a support agreement valued at over SEK 22 million (THB 95,000,000) that was signed on Thursday, 12 October, at the Swedish Embassy in Bangkok.
AITAA DOCTORAL CONFERENCE PARTICIPATION PROGRAM
With support from this year's AITAA Doctoral Conference Participation Program, Mr. Keattisak Sripimanwat, a Doctoral degree candidate in Telecommunications, participated in the 'IEEE Vehicular Technology Conference Fall 2000 (VTC2000)', held at the World Trade Center, Boston, USA, on 24-28 September.
SCE FORUM MEETING on 19 OCTOBER
The next meeting of the School of Civil Engineering (SCE) will be held on Thursday, 19 October, in room N238 at 1:00 p.m.
SCE faculty who would like to suggest items for the meeting's agenda are requested to please contact Khun Lek, SCE secretary before noon on Monday, 16 October.

Signing of MRCS-AIT Partnership Agreement
A partnership agreement (PA) will be signed between the Mekong River Commission Secretariat (MRCS) and AIT on Wednesday, 11 October. The MRCS delegation will be composed of Dr. Joern Kristensen, Chief Executive Officer, and Mr. Lars Pedersen, Chief of Public Relations and Coordination Unit.
