Timely alerts can contribute towards lessening the impact of disaster and saving numerous lives. Situational Awareness also helps disaster managers to track significant emergency incidents and share this information across multiple agencies.
Dr. P Abdul Salam of the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) has won the Thomson Reuters Thailand Frontier Researcher Award for 2016. The award was granted “in recognition of pioneering a new frontier in research, based on core papers comprising the world’s top 1% of Highly Cited Papers in the field of Engineering.â€
Bangchak Petroleum (BCP) has awarded two scholarships for students to pursue their Master’s degree at the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) this year. It has also sought AIT’s expertise to pursue its vision of “Evolving Greenovation,†an initiative intended to channel regular evolution of green innovative ideas.

Three AIT students who have just concluded their 10-month exchange program in select universities in Europe have described AIT as a perfect launching pad for international and multicultural experience. The three were among those selected from AIT under the Erasmus Mundus Panacea program which they concluded in June this year.
