In July 2000, MDP-AITCV prepared admission procedures for the
International Executive MBA Program in Vietnam, scheduled to start in August
2000.

SERD Research Bazaar
The School of Environment, Resources and Development (SERD) of the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) is organizing the SERD Research Bazaar on August 16-18 at AIT campus, Rangsit, Pathumthani. The Bazaar will feature thesis research of the SERD graduating students and research activities of selected business corporations in the areas of environmental protection, poverty alleviation, food safety and security.

REPORT OF 25 JULY 2000 REFORM PROCESS COMMITTEE (RPC) MEETING
A. Welcome
The President welcomed members of the Reform Steering Committee who had been invited to the meeting.
B. Review and Approval of the 11 July 2000 RPC Report
Members reviewed and approved the draft report of the 11 July 2000 RPC, which will incorporate comments and suggestions, made at the meeting.
IT and Communications in the New Millenium
AIT partnered industrial agents and leading educational and research institutions at an international forum cum conference held on 1-4 August. It was sponsored by Siemens AG and co-organized by AIT with the National Science and Technology Agency of Thailand.

Final Doctoral Examination Schedule
Tuesday, 8 August from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. in room E109 (RDGR Seminar Room). Mr. Hari Kumar Pradhan, a Ph. D. candidate in Regional and Rural Development Planning under the Rural Development, Gender and Resources Program, will present his dissertation which is entitled 'Sustainable Mountain Area Development through Eco-tourism'.

Criminal Offence
Recently, on two separate occasions, some AIT students were caught shoplifting in Future
Park. Under the criminal laws of Thailand, these students have committed offences that are
punishable by imprisonment or expulsion from the country, in the case of non-Thai nationals.
