Moving from invention to innovation by creating value and helping humanity

Invention does not become an innovation until it is commercialized, and this remains one of the biggest challenges for inventors. For too long, research has remained confined to book shelves, and universities need to collaborate with the industry and society to ensure the twin purpose of serving humanity and adding economic value. These were the key remarks of AIT President Prof. Worsak Kanok-Nukulchai while delivering the welcome address on the concluding day of the two-day “Collaboration for Innovation” event organized by AIT Solutions organized on 12-13 May 2016.

Innovation has emerged as a key driver for achieving success, and the spread of innovative practices and processes hinges on effective collaboration. This was the central theme of the two-day event organized at the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) on 12-13 May 2016. Organized by AIT Solutions, the event was an AIT endevor to create a bridge between industry, private sector and business with the academia.

HM King’s, HM Queen’s and Loom Nam Khong Pijai Scholarships announced for August 2016

The Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) is happy to announce the list of awardees of the prestigious His Majesty King’s, Her Majesty Queen’s, and Loom Nam Khong Pijai Scholarships. Thirty applicants will receive HM King’s Scholarships, while 15 applicants will receive the HM Queen’s Scholarships, while six applicants have been selected for the Loom Nam Khong Pijai Scholarships.

2015 AIT Teaching Awards announced

Dr. Avishek Datta and Dr. Masahiko Nagai have been selected for the 2015 AIT Teaching Award. While Dr. Datta belongs to Agricultural Systems Engineering of School of Environment, Resources and Development, Dr. Masahiko Nagai belongs to Remote Sensing and Geographical Information Systems of School of Engineering and Technology (SET).
