AIT contributes to COP21

As 196 countries from all over the world signed the historic Paris Climate Change agreement, the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) has reasons to rejoice as it has been actively contributing towards the process leading to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) Conference of Parties (COP21).

Universiti Tun Husseein Onn Malaysia for joint programs with AIT

Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UHTM) wishes to launch joint and dual-degree programs for postgraduate studies with the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT). Visiting AIT on 1 December 2015, Vice Chancellor of UHTM, Prof. Mohd Noh Dalimin stated that both UHTM and AIT can develop joint programs for Master’s and Doctoral studies that are aimed at capacity building of teachers in Malaysia.

Prof Babel elected to Executive Board of International Water Resources Association

Prof. Mukand Singh Babel of AIT’s Water Engineering and Management (WEM) has been elected as one of the 10 Directors of the International Water Resources Association (IWRA). The new 20-member Executive Board of IWRA has representatives from 15 countries, representing five continents, and they will assume office for a three-year period from 1 January 2016.
