AIT Library Modernization Fundraising Campaign breaks 40 Mil THB barrier, pushes past 80% of goal
Amata Corporation has decided to contribute 1 million Baht towards the AIT Library Modernization Campaign. This was announced by Mr. Vikrom Kromadit at his Amata Corporation Headquarters during a meeting on 12 March 2015 with the Prof. Worsak Kanok-Nukulchai, President, Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), and Prof Voratas Kachitvichayanukul, Dean of AIT’s School of Engineering and Technology (SET).
Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) has unveiled its “collaborative laboratory†program targeted at ASEAN and India. In a meeting at the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Mr. Dai Minowa, Chief, Department of International Affairs, JST, stated that JST will launch a “collaboration laboratory†program in summer which will involve a long-term international partnership for promoting innovation.

President of Korea Water Resources Corporation (K-Water), Mr. Gyewoon Choi mooted a three-way collaboration between academic, industry and professionals during his visit to Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) on 3 March 2015. Mr. Choi stated that four water-related issues are currently under focus — flooding, drought, water quality, and futuristic water issues related to climate change.
Ratings affirm postgraduate institute’s top international standing
An alumna of the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), May Sabe Phyu, is among the 10 select women chosen for the 2015 Secretary of State’s International Women of Courage Award. She will be awarded by Deputy Secretary Heather Higginbottom at 13:00 hours EST time on 5 March 2015.
Mr. Charoen Jatusaril, an alumnus of the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), made a formal donation of 1 million Thai Baht towards the AIT Library Modernization Campaign. Handing over a cheque to the AIT President Prof. Worsak Kanok-Nukulchai on 2 March 2015, Mr. Charoen expressed his desire to help and support his alma mater.
A delegation from Kyoto University visited the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) on 2 March 2015 and sought greater collaboration between the two. Led by Prof. Shigeo Fujii, Dean, Graduate School of Global Environmental Studies, the six-member team highlighted their work in Thailand and sought a stronger partnership with AIT.
