October 6th, 2021 — The Asian Institute of Technology, recognized among ministries and authorities for its role in environment in the Asia Pacific region, took part in the Fourth Forum of Ministers and Environment Authorities of Asia Pacific to highlight critical role universities play in achieving SDGs.

The two-day Fourth Forum of Ministers and Environment Authorities of Asia Pacific was held on October 6th – 7th, 2021 as a hybrid event with participants participating online and on-site at Suwon Convention Center, Suwon City, Republic of Korea.

Foodi Erasmus+ project launches Food Innovation, Nutrition, and Health (FINH) academic program at AIT

The Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) has launched the Food Innovation, Nutrition, and Health (FINH) Program under the School of Environment, Resources, and Development (SERD) after endorsement for commencing the program in August 2020. This program offers M.Sc. (two years with first-year course work and a final year thesis option), M. Sc. (one year only course work option), Ph.D. (three and a half years including first-semester course work plus two and a half years dissertation), M. Phil.

FAO and AIT Strengthen Partnership for Sustainable Development of the Region

October 5, 2021 – The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) renewed its partnership with the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) through the signing of a Memorandum of Understating (MOU). Through the partnership, the two institutions will collaborate in the fields of urban food systems, climate change, water, food and energy, agroecology, and innovation/digitization – for the sustainable development of the Asia and Pacific region.

Since January of 2020, the Coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis has spread across the world.  The situation in Thailand was very stable starting last summer--with a minor outbreak in December-- all the way through the early part of 2021.  Unfortunately, a fierce wave has hit Thailand in April, but things are slowly improving.
