PRESS CONFERENCE: AIT President calls for stakeholders’ meeting, challenges AITAA Thailand Chapter president to open debate

Facing the Thai media on 19 October 2012, AIT President Professor Said Irandoust called for all stakeholders to proactively help resolve complications related to AIT’s operations and put out a strong plea to all to stop hurting AIT. He also urged the media to verify relevant facts with the AIT Administration and the relevant governing bodies before disseminating information because incorrect information would hurt AIT.

Meeting sought with all AIT stakeholders, issue must be resolved before December graduation: President

Impassioned students sought clarification on the issue of the degrees issued by the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), an issue that Prof. Irandoust said that the AIT Council has already called upon the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) to call a meeting of all stakeholders seeking a formal clarification on all issues concerning AIT. Further the AIT Council members will attend the Institute Forum at AIT on 30 October 2012, and it will meet with everyone to clarify issues.

IIM collaborates with AIT

Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Raipur, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) seeking student and faculty exchange programs, collaborative research projects and organization of joint academic and scientific activities. The MoU was signed by Prof. B. S. Sahay, Director, IIM, Raipur and Prof. Said Irandoust, President, AIT on 18 October 2012.
