Ratch Cogeneration Co., Ltd. Supports Improvement of the AIT Conference Center

The Ratch Cogeneration Co. Ltd. (RCO) has agreed to support the improvement of the AIT Conference Center in the amount of Thai Baht 100,000. The Managing Director Mr. Thanabodee Pratumrat and AIT President Dr. Eden Y. Woon signed an agreement on 7 April 2022.

The AIT Conference Center (AITCC) is one of AIT’s key landmarks in the campus surrounded by beautiful greenery and biodiversity environment.

Mr. Jaime and Mrs. Elisa del Rosario Supports AIT

Mr. Jaime (CSIM’80) and Mrs. Elisa (IEM’80) del Rosario supports AIT in the amount of Thai Baht 3,000,000 towards the renovation of four (4) Student Villages located at Student Village 2 and one (1) Full Masters scholarship to any nationality and any programs in the School of Engineering and Technology (SET) for the August 2022 intake.

Panel discussion by AIT on latest IPCC report brings science and policy together

Bangkok, April 5, 2022 – The Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) organized a virtual panel discussion that brought together climate and policy experts from four South Asian countries: Bangladesh, India, Nepal, and Pakistan, to discuss “The IPCC Report 2022: Is it Code Red for South Asia?”. Over 80 people participated in the webinar and the discussion shed light on climate vulnerabilities particular to each South Asian country and how the development pathway must be made more sustainable -- within this decade.

AIT inks New Partnership with University of Public Service, Hungary

Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) and the University of Public Service (UPS) of Hungary signed a five-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to provide a framework for the exchange and augmentation of scientific and technical knowledge between AIT and UPS across multiple water-related pedagogy and research disciplines, as well as other mutually beneficial modes of cooperation.

AIT President shares strategy to overcome the “Perfect Storm” with leaders from renowned Malaysian universities at MyIDC Forum

24 February 2022 — Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) President Dr. Eden Woon was invited to share his insights and experiences for the training of leaders from Malaysian Universities in ‘International Dean’s Course — Malaysian Chapter (MyIDC) Module 11: Internationalization’. Through his speech, the President highlighted ‘internationalization’ as a strategy to sail through the “perfect storm”.

The MyIDC hybrid event, held in a hybrid mode from February 19th to February 26th, was a seven-day training to equip leaders in academic with innovative ideas for strategic management and decision-making processes, as well as transferable skills to respond to changes in higher education.
