2011 AIT experienced its worst ever crisis on October 21 when over two meters of water inundated the campus due to the severe flood disaster in Thailand
2012 The Government of Norway unveils 40 annual scholarships for Myanmar nationals to attend AIT
2012 AIT is awarded a major research grant on Sustainable Decentralized Wastewater Management Systems from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation
2013 Prof. Kanchana Kanchanasut inducted into the global “Internet Hall of Fame” by the Internet Society based in Switzerland. She was inducted for her role in bringing the internet to Thailand.
