AIT Vietnam’s 25th Anniversary Scholarship Program for 2015-2018

AIT Vietnam’s 25th Anniversary Scholarship Program (AITCV Silver Anniversary Scholarships) is for full-time studies at AIT Bangkok to celebrate the partnerships which have helped AIT to be successful in Vietnam and acknowledge the contributions of the nearly 4,000 alumni of AIT in Vietnam. The program also identifies the most gifted potential graduate students and those who come from economically disadvantaged families throughout Vietnam.

A. AITCV Silver Anniversary SCHOLARSHIPS for Master and Doctoral Degree Program

Eligibility:

  • Vietnamese nationality.
  • Graduated from a 4-year undergraduate program (for Master Program) and 2-year Master program (or equivalent) for Doctoral Program, following the marking system of Vietnam with GPA above 7.0 or CGPA above 3.0 for overseas program.
  • Graduated in related fields from an accredited institute. High proficiency in English
    • (IELTS writing and overall score of 6 or
    • TOEFL Paper-based 550 or
    • TOEFL Computer-based 210 or
    • iTOEFL 76 with writing score of 20 or
    • TOIEC 790 or AIT-EET 6)

(TOEFL/ IELTS must be recognized for two years from the test date).

  • With satisfactory physical and mental health, and have a record of good conduct.
  • Essay of proposed research topic (For doctoral applicants only).
  • Preference will be given to professionals working in ministries or government agencies in Vietnam, children/ grandchildren of AIT alumni in Vietnam, and gifted and disadvantaged students from Vietnam.

Coverage

The scholarship covers full tuition and registration fees plus accommodation, and a bursary for living expenses in AIT’s residential campus for the entire 24 months (four semesters) for Master Degree program and 41 months (7 semesters) for Doctoral Degree program.

B.  AITCV Silver Anniversary FELLOWSHIPS for Master and Doctoral Degree Program

Eligibility

  • Vietnamese nationality;
  • Graduated from a 4-year undergraduate program (for Master Program) and 2-year Master program (or equivalent) for Doctoral Program, following the marking system of Vietnam with GPA 6-7 or CGPA 2.75 to 3.00 for overseas program;
  • Graduated in related fields from an accredited institute;
  • Essay on proposed research topic (For doctoral applicants only);
  • Satisfies the minimum English Entry requirement;
  • With satisfactory physical and mental health, and have a record of good conduct.

Coverage:

The Fellowships cover full tuition of 24 credits and registration fees for the last two semesters of the Master degree program and 56 credits tuition fees and registration fees for the last four semesters of the doctoral program. The remaining fees are to be borne by the applicant and/or other sponsors. The fellowship does not cover accommodation fees or living expenses.

Application Deadline: 31 March 2018 for the August 2018 intake.
